The Closet Core Patterns KALLE SHIRT & SHIRTDRESS is the classic shirt and shirtdress that never-go-out-of-fashion. The sewing pattern has a modern chic twist with its loose body-skimming silhouette and asymmetric length front to back. The KALLE SHIRT & SHIRTDRESS offers interchangeable features, and it is a truly versatile sewing pattern to add to your DIY wardrobe stables.
KALLE SHIRT & SHIRTDRESS calls for a personalized touch with build-in options for a standard or band collar, button, popover or hidden placket., hem, inverted or box pleat in the back, and total length versions from cropped to dress-length, plus an optional breast pocket.
View A is cropped with a wide-faced hem, View B is a tunic length shirt inspired by classic men's oxfords, and View C is a stylish shirtdress with a high-low hem. All versions feature a subtly curved yoke, short dolman sleeves with arm cuffs, and a dramatically shaped hem.

Make a fluid, drapey KALLE SHIRT & SHIRTDRESS with soft fabrics such as our range of viscoses made in EcoVero, Lyocell, Tencel, Tencel/linen blend, Rexell, or cotton/silk blend. Or go for a more structured version made of crisper fabrics like cottons, linens, or a cotton/linen blend. Patterned and solid color fabrics are equally suitable for this versatile sewing pattern.
Size range is US size 0-20, roughly corresponding to European sizes 34-52. See below for size/measurements and fabric usage.
