The ILMA SMOCK DRESS & TOP comes in two variations
Both variations feature a wavy, tiered hemline and an elasticated neckline, and both variations are maternity friendly.
The dress variation has wrist-length puff sleeves with gathered sleeve openings.
The top comes with ruffle shoulder straps.
You can also make a sleeveless dress with shoulder straps, or sew the top with puff sleeves and off-the-shoulder neckline.
FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS
Choose a light to medium weight non-stretch fabric.
Depending on the desired result, you can go with an airy but low-drape fabric, such as our soft washed linens from Merchant & Mills, a linen-viscose blend from Atelier Brunette, or any cotton weave from nani IRO including a double gauze.
For a very drapey version you can choose a viscose such as our EcoVeroTM or rayon from Atelier Brunette, or a Rexcell viscose or cotton-silk blend from nani IRO.
The dress shown in the pictures is made in a linen-cotton blend.
