ABOUT THE SKIRT

The THREE PLEAT SKIRT in sizes XS-L and XL-3XL from Swedish designer The Assembly Line adds a touch of elegance to your capsule DIY wardrobe, and it is a fun skirt to sew. It is tucked in at the waist with a traditional waistband sitting mid/mid-high on your waist.

The front is pleated, but the back is a traditional A-line skirt sitting tightly around the hips. Whether you are slim or has a bit of a tummy the pleated front adds a chic, modern (and practical) roominess to your silhouette.

The THREE PLEAT SKIRT also features a practical right-side pocket and a left side zipper opening so you can easily slip in and out of the skirt.

FABRIC CHOICE

Make the THREE PLEAT SKIRT in fabrics that are medium to heavyweight such as our denim or gabardine/cotton twill, or in a lighter but still crispy fabric like our linen-Tencel/linen-cotton blends. Or use a 100% linen for a less refined look.

Fabric needed:

140-150 cm fabric width
XS 1.2 m / S 1.4 m / M 1.5 m / L 1.6 m / XL 1.9 m / 2XL 2.0 m / 3XL 2.1 m

You will also need:

· Matching thread. Choose among the colours of high-quality sewing thread that matches our fabrics

· 20 cm zipper (concealed or coil). Choose from our high-quality selection of zippers

· 0.2 m interfacing

SEWING TIPS

Fabric & Cloth COPENHAGEN recommends you adjust the length of the waistband, so it sits at the height you prefer. If you are adjusting the length of the waistband, remember also adjusting the depth of the pleats accordingly.

STYLING

The black skirt shown is styled with The Assembly Line CUFF TOP in greyish green and with the The Assembly Line PUFF SHIRT in white.
