TULIP SKIRT (XS-L) The Assembly Line
ABOUT THE SKIRT
The TULIP SKIRT in sizes XS-L from Swedish designer The Assembly Line sits at the natural waist. It fits semi-tightly around the hips (just like an A-shaped skirt would do), and it has a characteristic charm as it opens up into an unusual wide tulip-shaped skirt.
The skirt has a zipper opening at the back and in-seam pockets.
FABRIC CHOICE
Make the TULIP SKIRT in a light weight fabric , a medium light weight fabric or a medium weight fabric such as our cottons, cotton-silk blends, EcoVero or Tencel/Lyocell/Rexcell. Use a linen-Tencel blend, or a 100% linen for a less refined look.
The black skirt is sewn in a tightly woven and quite thin wool fabric. The illustration shows how the silhouette will be if you make a skirt in a medium weight fabric with a normal drape versus a light weight fabric with a more excessive drape.
