The ‘Hakko’ fabric is part of the nani IRO 2021 - 20th Anniversary collection - and made in Japan.
‘Hakko’ features a white lotus flower. The almost invisible white blossoms arranged in the strict order of geometric stripes underpins the majestic yet calm tranquility of the flower.
The ‘Hakko’ pattern is created by artist Naomi Ito, who often draws her inspiration from natural elements, and in this way her art reminds us of the calmness and the poetic beauty of nature.
This fine cotton-silk blend is a satin-weave with a luxurious soft touch and drape, and it has a shiny-matte surface like nacre (‘perlemor’). The fabric is easy to handle and perfect for the beginner seamstress who is not yet ready to work with viscose but still long for creating a garment with fluidity and drape.
The delicate, yet sturdy cotton-silk blend has a perfect fluidity for dresses, blouses, shirts, skirts, and scarfs where you aim for a soft drape. The fabric is equally beautiful and suitable for children’s clothes, for cosmetics -, and toilet bags, and for home decor like cushions, patchwork blankets, and much more you’ll love to create.

Fabric is sold in increments of 1 cm: 1 item is 1 cm. If you order 100 items, you have ordered 1,00 meter fabric.

Wash at 30 degrees Celcius on a delicate cycle, with a low spin setting, using non bio detergent. There is around 2-5% shrinkage with the first wash.
